An extraordinary place for profits.

The Score! Educational Centers business concept was conceived as a computer-based extra curricular, educational growth offer for K through 9 children. As such, Score’s business challenge came from a host of competing extra curricular opportunities such as soccer and music lessons.

When acquired in 1996 by Kaplan, Inc., a visionary growth initiative focused efforts on building the brand through dynamic, energetic facilities—located primarily in strip mall locations—that reinforced the fun, sports-oriented, positive atmosphere created by enthusiastic Score! “coaches.”

The design challenge was to work strictly within the constraints of tenant space at various malls. Anza’s solution to capture more visual presence was to design a bold and inviting entry element to deliver compelling brand and promotional messaging through a generic storefront. Then, develop design guidelines that creatively interconnect the diverse range of programs at specific sites, and carry the brand message throughout in an active and engaging décor concept.

Score! Educational Centers grew to 165 locations under this branded retail concept.
